SEO for local businesses
Backroom Ops works on search for local businesses. That covers page titles, site structure and the public details a search engine can read.
Backroom Ops websiteCookies, Google Analytics 4, Google ads and the Privacy Act 2020, for Auckland Optometrist.
Auckland Optometrist is published by Backroom Ops, Hamilton. For a privacy request, email hello@backroomops.co.nz. This page explains cookies, Google Analytics 4, Google advertising, and how the Privacy Act 2020 applies.
Practice listings use public business details taken from each practice's own website: name, address, phone, opening hours, published fees, services, and an email address only where that practice publishes one on its own website. Bookings are made on the practice's own system. This site does not take appointment details and does not collect health information.
If you email us, we hold your email address and whatever you write, so we can reply and correct a listing. We do not sell that information.
This site is connected to Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-WZD7F60RBQ. Every page loads Google's tag. A page view sends Google the page address and title, the site you came from, and general information about your browser, device and approximate location. It is not used to collect your name, your health information, or what you book.
A click on a practice booking, website, call or email link is sent as an event named practice_click. The event includes the practice page name, the kind of link (book, website, call or email), the page you were on, and the address of the link. A click on an email link therefore includes the practice email address already shown on that page.
A click on a Backroom Ops panel is sent as an event named house_ad_click. That event includes the panel topic, the page you were on, and the address of the link. It does not include your name.
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Google Analytics 4 sets first-party cookies, usually named _ga and _ga_WZD7F60RBQ, so it can recognise a returning browser. Google AdSense, which serves the ads on these pages, may set its own advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking them does not stop you reading the guide.
To stop this browser sending data to Google Analytics, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or block the analytics cookies in your browser. To opt out of personalised Google ads, use Google's ads settings.
Pages include Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-9781689220471996). Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on visits to this site and other sites. An ad is not an endorsement of a practice, and no practice pays to be listed.
Under the Privacy Act 2020, Backroom Ops is the agency for personal information you send us by email. We use it only to answer you and to keep listings accurate. Page-view and click information is sent to Google, which processes it outside New Zealand, to measure visits and to serve ads. You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@backroomops.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Questions about a practice's own handling of your information, including an appointment, go to that practice. See the contact page to reach Backroom Ops.
This is not a practice listing or a ranking.
